A Joyful Get-Together for People Living with Dementia and Their Carers

On 11 January 2026, people living with dementia and their carers came together for a warm and uplifting social gathering organised by Seychelles Alzheimer’s Foundation. The event welcomed around 60 participants, creating a lively and supportive atmosphere filled with laughter, music, and shared moments of activities.

The afternoon was beautifully enlivened by performances from Brigitte Lablache and Bessie Denis, who brought along her vibrant Kamtole group. Their music and cultural performances encouraged participation, movement, and joyful interaction—reminding us all of the power of music and community in enhancing wellbeing.

Alongside the entertainment, guests enjoyed time to socialise, connect, and simply enjoy being together in a relaxed and caring environment. Moments like these are central to SAF’s mission: reducing isolation, celebrating abilities, and supporting both people living with dementia and those who care for them.

SAF would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all our dedicated volunteers, whose time, kindness, and enthusiasm truly helped put smiles on everyone’s faces and made the event such a success.
